For more than two decades, my work has appeared in traditional print media such as The Washington Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, Detroit Free Press, Fort Lauderdale (South Florida) Sun-Sentinel, Fort Pierce/Port St. Lucie Tribune (TCPalm) and other newspapers; CHICAGO, Restaurants & Institutions and HOTELS magazines; and, most recently, online for Cincinnati.com and LatinTimes.com. Below is an example of some recent travel writing from Qatar as well as a multi-part travel and cultural series from the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia:

Walk This Way at World Cup 2022: No Shortage of Barriers Getting to a Match in Doha (Latin Times, 5 Dec 2022)
That Dreary Looking Caravan City Fan Village at Qatar’s World Cup? Really, It’s Not So Bad (Latin Times, 1 Dec 2022)

Russia World Cup 2018: Episode 1 (Cincinnati.com) This is the first of four weekly travel snapshots of World Cup 2018 sights and sounds, as reported by Chicago-based writer Steven Shundich. What is it like to watch the month·long, 32-country competition with fans from around the world? And what fun things can we learn about other cultures? The 29-day journey includes Tallinn and Pärnu, Estonia; Helsinki; Riga, Latvia; Saint Petersburg, Russia; Kraków, Poland; and Copenhagen.

Russia World Cup 2018: Episode 2 (Cincinnati.com) This two-part second installment looks at the World Cup from inside Russia and, more specifically, Saint Petersburg, where I attended a raucous Argentina vs Nigeria match featuring a spectacular goal by Messi and spectacle theatre from Argentine legend Diego Maradona.

Russia World Cup 2018: Episode 3 (Cincinnati.com) The third episode of this six-country sojourn includes reports from Estonia, Latvia and Poland.

Russia World Cup 2018: Final Episode (Cincinnati.com) The last part of the series comes from Copenhagen, where I watched the final match between France and Croatia with two French bridge engineers, an Austrian composer of musical scores for German TV and a professional rugby player from New Zealand.
